Federal Scholarship Board Nigeria Award 2014 Application Now On

The Federal Ministry of Education has announced the Nigerian Federal Scholarship Award application for the year 2014. The Nigerian Award processes and implements scholarship awards for Postgraduate (PG), Undergraduate, Higher National Diploma (HND) and National Certificate in Education (NCE) students. CONDITIONS OF AWARD: The federal scholarship board nigeria award is tenable in Nigeria and takes effect from the beginning of each academic session. It lapses if not utilized within this period. The scholarship shall not be held at the same time with another Award nor for part-time studies. Change of course or level or the Institution of award is not allowed. The Scholarship allowance is meant to cover: Institution’s charges, fees and Personal maintenance allowance. ELIGIBLE FIELD OF STUDY: Science and Technology. Medicine and Para-medicals. Science Subjects with Education. Arts and other Subjects with Education. Liberal Arts/Social/Management Sciences. Law. HND (Science and Technology). NCE. BASIC QUALIFICATION: The basic qualifications for the federal scholarship board nigeria award 2014 are as follows; (a) POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP: All applicants for postgraduate scholarship should have a FIRST CLASS or 2nd CLASS UPPER DIVISION IN THEIR FIRST DEGREE. (b) UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP: All applicants for undergraduate scholarship must be in the 2nd year of their studies or above and must have at least 4.0 C.G.P.A on a 5 point Scale or its equivalent in previous academic years examinations. (c) HND SCHOLARSHIP: All applicants must have a minimum of 3.5 CGPA (Upper Credit Pass) at ND level. The Award Covers HND 1 AND HND II. (d) NCE SCHOLARSHIP: The award is for 2nd and 3rd year of NCE programme and candidates must have a minimum of 3.5 CGPA score on 5 point scale or its equivalent in the previous examinations. VALUE OF AWARD: Under-Graduate Scholars- N150, 000 yearly Post-Graduate Scholars- N180, 000 yearly HND- N100, 000 yearly NCE- N100, 000 yearly. HOW TO APPLY: Interest candidates are to visit the Federal Scholarship Board application portal on http://fsb.gov.ng/appcentre/ and select Nigeria Award to register. Candidates are meant to register by creating a username and password after which a Validation Link would be sent to your mail box. Open your mail and Click the link to Login. Click on the Nigerian Award Tab to Read Requirements & Instructions, and continue to application form. Print completed Application Form and bring a copy to interview venue. NB:Photocopies of other documents to be submitted online with the completed Application forms are; Letter of admission to the institution you are studying, Course Registration, Identity Card, Last session examination result, One (1) passport-size photograph. On-line application closes 4th of July, 2014. SCREENING EXAMINATION: Successful candidates will be screened from the 7th to 11th July, 2014 at Bishop Dimiari Grammar School, Okaka, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. Candidates are to submit the following documents at the exam venue; Printed Application form. Copy of Educational certificates (on no account should original certificates be submitted). Copy of Letter of admission to the institution you are studying. Copy of Current Course Registration form. Copy of Last session examination result. Copy of Identity Card. Passport-size photographs. NOTE: ORIGINALS OF CERTIFICATES AND DOCUMENTS MUST BE PRESENTED FOR SIGHTING ONLY.
