NUC Approves Ondo State University of Medical Science

The National Universities Commission (NUC)has issued a letter of approval to the Ondo State University of Medical Sciences as the 40th state university in Nigeria. Executive Secretary of NUC, Professor Julius Okojie presented the letter of recognition to the Ondo state Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko. The NUC Scribe said the commission will also write the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB)to include the new university on the list of universities candidates who seek tertiary entrance admissions can apply to. “I wish to congratulate the government of Ondo state for the establishment of Ondo State University of Medical Sciences. “With effect from the 22nd of April 2015 the Ondo State University of medical Sciences has been recognised by the National Universities commission as the 40th state university and 139th university in Nigeria”, the letter read. NYSC To Partner Corporate Organisations On Youth Empowerment – DG

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)says it is ready to partner with corporate organisations to empower youths with entrepreneurship skills.The NYSC Director-General, Brig.-Gen. Johnson Olawumi, made the assertion on Friday in Ilorin at the opening of a training programme for its Venture Managers.Olawumi, represented by the Director, Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneur Services, Mrs Mary Dan Abia, said the NYSC in partnership with IITA had cultivated 20 hectares of hybrid cassavavarieties at Leleyi-Kwali, FCT.The director-general also said that NYSCwas collaborating with the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation, Idofian, on the development of agricultural equipment.“We are developing a new one with Fadama III project, all to ginger our youths to appreciate farming as a worthy profession,’’ Olawumi added.He said that the NYSC farm settlement in Kwali would be expanded to 70 hectares for the cultivation of cassava.Olawumi added that the NYSC rice mill in Ebonyi would as from

NDA Entrance Examination Date 2015 (67th Regular Course)

      The date for the 2015 NDA entrance examination for the 67th regular course admission (more like Post-UTME Screening) has been released. Members of the public and candidates who have chosen the Nigerian Defence Academy during the last JAMB UTME are hereby informed of this development. Nigerian Defence Academy 2015 Examination Date (67th Regular Course) All candidates that applied for the 2015 JAMB registration and have met the minimum JAMB cut-off mark requirement would be invited for the NDA Entrance Examination in due course. Now to the date of the NDA entrance examination – the 2015 screening test has been scheduled to hold is scheduled on Saturday 25th April, 2015. That’s no longer far away from today’s date.
