NUC Approves Ondo State University of Medical Science

The National Universities Commission (NUC)has issued a letter of approval to the Ondo State University of Medical Sciences as the 40th state university in Nigeria. Executive Secretary of NUC, Professor Julius Okojie presented the letter of recognition to the Ondo state Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko. The NUC Scribe said the commission will also write the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB)to include the new university on the list of universities candidates who seek tertiary entrance admissions can apply to. “I wish to congratulate the government of Ondo state for the establishment of Ondo State University of Medical Sciences. “With effect from the 22nd of April 2015 the Ondo State University of medical Sciences has been recognised by the National Universities commission as the 40th state university and 139th university in Nigeria”, the letter read. 2015 NITDA SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

     The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), with its mandate of transforming Nigeria into an IT driven economy for global competitiveness and the dire need to bridge the digital divide, has since 2010 established a Scholarship Scheme for Masters (MSc) and Doctorate (PhD) Degrees in relevant areas of Information Technology (IT) obtainable in Nigeria or Foreign / Overseas Universities. Criteria: The scholarship award is strictly based on merit and is equally distributed between the six geo-political zones for PhD and the 36 States and FCT for MSc.
